How creative authors understand the defect. Yes, what folded, unfolded, torn, spilled, split, which is obvious - does not correspond to the planned image. However, sometimes “discarded” works are simply ugly - they do not want to identify themselves as an author with one or another object. Internal perfectionisms and critics emerge. Start clinging "to the details". The authors present the defects of the materials used in their work. Justė - glass miniatures, Lina - porcelain and mixed media elements, Daiva - lampwork, Kristina - ceramics. It is also interesting that we often accumulate, postpone, and keep defective works. It is as if it is a pity to throw it away as if there is an idea to use it for someone, to try to fix it.
Broc may not only have a material expression - a flawed relationship, a lack of empathy, a lack of internal qualities - these are also things that may seem defective to some of the parties, maybe we don't express ourselves that way. It may seem to us that the other does not fit the planned image, it may seem that we have many defects in ourselves that we try to hide, “powder” and the like.
An exhibition about what can still mean a defect for each of us, personally.
